Eve

On a photo trip to Croatia, I wanted to do photos with Eve. Even if surrounded by beaches I wanted to try street photography with her. I wanted to do little experiments. With little blurry photos, with different films. To do that we didn’t need a lot of light. The best moment was to start one-two hours before sunset and continue like that until the lights of the street are on to have a different mood. For that, I took my 35mm Leica camera and Pentax 67 medium format camera. Films were: quite expired Orwo 35mm film, 120mm Ilford HP5+ and recently my favorite film: Kodak Vision 500T in 120mm roll.

We did a little walk around the beautiful historical city of Peg. Stopped for a coffee. I had little chat and took those natural portraits. I didn’t instruct her a lot. This time I decided to observe my model more and just take the photo when I saw the moment. Sometimes I had to tell her just to freeze the moment or repeat the pose I have noticed and wanted to save. However, most of the photos just came naturally. We have worked before already and I was not happy enough from the result (that is why you have not seen it). I have difficulties to capture real Eve, the one that I knew. This time I wanted to do it differently and instead of directing – just go with the flow. I waited for moments to capture. And I have managed. On those photos, she is the person I used to see.

Your photos of this lovely woman are beautiful. I especially like the slightly blurry b/w one, fourth down.
