Villa we had in Greece was a great location for taking pictures. After I have seen the color of the swimming pool I knew I have to put my models in colorful costumes and create little stories with them. Naturally, I wanted to register this in color and what is better to do that than positive film – Kodak Provia in this case. I measured the light very carefully as while shooting with slide materials you cannot make mistakes with over or underexposure. You have to be really careful and not to shoot very contrasty scenes. However, if you use it wisely it will produce you rich, saturated colors and strong contrast (especially worth in sunny conditions).
Two of my friends Angela and Sandra were perfect for this idea. Both with long legs and slim bodies. That is important to find such models in this particular scene, as I shoot from above them – such a perspective makes legs optically shorter (when a photographed person is standing). Challenging conditions indeed, but it was worth as views were spectacular.
Two last images were shot with Kodak Portra 160 film. All rest on Fuji Provia material. The camera I have used here was Hasselblad with a 110mm lens.
This is a fantastic mood on that set! Thank you for the trip inspiration. That is a great idea to take models in much wormer place in winter time :)
Very nice Photos
